This project was a collaborative process between myself and a fellow photographer. It was to create a moment in time of the men and women who have served their country. The youngest veteran is 23 years old, the oldest is 91 years old and between them they have served in every war and operational setting over the last 75 years. These veterans have served in every campaign from Malaya in the 1950s, through to: Cyprus, Aden, The Falklands, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.

The intention for this exhibition was to create a platform whereby ordinary men and women who have done extraordinary things are acknowledged. Visitors were able to go to the exhibition including members of the Stockport veterans. To show recognition to the people, remember their names and to give credit to their lives and service. At the end of the exhibition each portrait was presented to the veterans and will be a lasting thank you to them and their families.
