My plan to develop my project was to shoot portraits of veterans, in addition to conducting interviews for each veteran. This shoot was a more successful shoot due to the theme and meaning that I want to express. A more intimate view of the stockport veterans. I interviewed five veterans before asking to take a portrait. To generate a relationship between myself a the subjects. I recorded each conversation and asked them a few questions, mainly 'what was your journey to get to where you are today?'. I allowed them to open up and tell their story in the way that made them feel comfortable. There were three interviews that took place, two sets of veterans together and one separate. It was an interesting insight to their camaraderie. I feel that they may have been more comfortable participating in an interview together as they had an already existing relationship and intimate dynamic.

Below is a link containing a folder of images taken of the photos and information each veteran brought to me to help form the picture of who they are and their past that lead to there they are now.
