My body of work for my professional identity and self directed module has changed the course of my future plans. By producing intimate portraits with the veterans and environmental portraits with the people of Manchester, it has made me build up connections, communications skills and confidence as a photographer.

"Never stop seeing and opening yourself up to the unexpected with strangers. These chance encounters are beautiful." (Pyke, n.d.)

When referring to this quote from Pyke, it expresses the importance of working with people in the community to emphasise the message within. This is an important quote regarding my future plans, as I will be developing my working relationship with the veterans and various other groups. This quotes connects to both professional identity and self directed modules.

As the final academic year has been primarily independent, it has made me condense my practice down to its core focus. Moving forward I know the type of photography that I want to produce.
