During a trip to London that began December 6th 2023, I visited an exhibition entitled, 'UVA - Synchronicity at 180 The Strand.

Exhibition Summary Taken From 180 The Strand Website:

This exhibition was a project that focused on light, sound and kinetic effects to alter the perception of reality. The work had abstract and surrealist elements that all combined together created an interesting and thought provoking themes.

The artist pieces were spread out across a large space that went through multiple rooms in the gallery.

Examples of Exhibition Pieces:

This was an interesting exhibition. It was a lot of information tontine in, from reading all of the artist statements about each section to the abstract stylised effects used to spread the meaning behind the work.

I feel that I did not fully understand the intended message behind the work and left thinking that I would like to research further into the meaning for the project. Despite not fully interoperating it as intended, I left thinking that I will not forget the exhibition.

The combination of lights and sounds paint a picture that could not be told in the same way if it was a photography exhibition. The over use of effects can make the viewer feel uneasy, this adds a whole new level of dept to the work.
